Your Guide To Hypnosis

Your Guide To Hypnosis

There are many stories about hypnosis and hypnotherapy being dangerous, turning people into chickens, people not being able to wake up, and unscrupulous hypnotists exploiting their ‘vulnerable’ patients. However there are many people who are adamant that it has helped change their lives, some from Dudley, Tipton, Wolverhampton and much further afield – I know of for sure. I have helped them succeed in their goals. Millions of people swear that it has helped them with many issues such as weight loss, quitting smoking, other addictions, confidence, phobias, stress, success, IBS, and many more issues.

Many people are missing out on this powerful, yet very safe therapeutic tool because they are too afraid to use it. I hope to dispel these fears by answering these common questions about hypnotherapy right here and now!.

Can I be hypnotised? Most people can go into a hypnotic trance. The only types of people that cannot be hypnotised are … 1. Those suffering from psychosis or a thought disorder 2. A person with a low IQ 3. A person who does not want to be hypnotised. It is very easy to resist hypnosis if you want to.
What is a hypnotic trance? It is a normal and natural state that most of us experience several times a day without even knowing it. It commonly happens when people are driving. Have you ever driven somewhere and not really remembered the journey?, I have just missed my junction. It also often occurs when reading a book or watching TV. Sometimes you can be so absorbed in the book or TV programme that you are not consciously aware that someone is talking to you, or even where you are sat. Hypnosis […]

What can I do for you?

What can I do for you?

My practice has been built upon the basis of a duty of care towards my clients and always giving helpful advice and guidance on the various issues. I pride myself in offering a caring and compassionate treatment to all. I have experience in treating the terminally ill as well as the more able and younger adults. All patients receive a factual and informed treatment.

My specialist areas are as follows:-

Stress and Anxiety – Alone these are bad enough, but combined with the two issues above, they go to trigger events. These can be IBS, OCD, PTSD but also breathing difficulties and Hyperhydrosis etc. I have a treatment plan that includes the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Hypnosis to assist you, in you, addressing your stressors and removing your anxiety and resulting in the eradication of both from your life. Giving you the life you really want.

IBS – Irritable Bowel Syndrome as a sufferer in ‘remission’ I can still hark back to the 22 years I had IBS. Its destructive nature and life controlling ways for the patient and their family. I’m now free from IBS and have been for a number of years. I can now help you free yourself of the nightmare that is IBS. I have worked with Michael Mahoney, MDHthp. I have studied under Mike and follow his proven program to treat IBS. I am currently combining my experiences and advice into what is hoped to be a book for release early next year. Read My IBS story and spot the similarities between my experiences and yours – click here You will know instantly I really do know how you feel.

Hypertension – High blood pressure. Your blood pressure is […]

Hypertension major risk factor for cardiovascular disease

Hypertension major risk factor for cardiovascular disease

Hypertension major risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD) – cerebrovascular events (CVEs) and ischaemic heart disease (IHD) – and is therefore one of the most important preventable causes of premature morbidity and mortality in here in the UK and other developed and developing countries.

Epidemiology is the study of health-events, health-characteristics or health-determinant patterns in a population

Hypertension is often symptomless, so screening is vital – before damage is done. Many surveys continue to show that hypertension remains underdiagnosed, undertreated and poorly controlled in the UK.

Overall, the prevalence of hypertension (at least ≥140/90 mm Hg or on treatment for hypertension) in those aged over 35 was 32% in men and 27% in women.

The prevalence significantly increased with age in both sexes:

About 33% of men and 25% of women aged 45-54 years have hypertension.
About 73% of men and 64% of women aged ≥75 years or older have hypertension.

Screening for hypertension

All adults should have their blood pressure (BP) measured, at least every five years up to the age of 80, and at least annually thereafter. The message here is get checked!

Aetiology is the study of causation, or origination of the issue or illness.

There is unfortunately, once things have progressed, and you have had hypertension for too long and it may have caused other issues that the benefits of  the Hypnotension™ programme are not  able to address. such as:-

Secondary hypertension This is where investigations by your GP or specialist have actually found physical reason, ( such as issues with leaking heart valves or what could be termed as mechanical faults of the heart or body for example) this is commonly caused by renal disease or in certain circumstances as complications in pregnancy.

These in turn may have […]
